During the last banking crisis, I was literally bankrupt. Actually, I was worse than bankrupt, I was a million dollars in debt.
Every day creditors would call, verbally harassing me and intimidating my wife and two young daughters, literally day and night. I saw no way out and was bout to have to incur the ultimate in emasculation by having to send my wife and kids to live with my in-laws because I didn't have enough money to feed them.
That's when I saw an ad in the paper. The government was trying to get rid of bad debt from all of the banks that were failing, which became known as the Savings & Loan Crisis.
With all the creditors calling me, I had a sense that I could at least handle collections better than they were handling them with me.
The Unthinkable
Then the unthinkable happened. I shared this business opportunity with my bank (the same bank I was already in debt over a million dollars to) and they agreed to lend a bankrupt man an additional $13,000. (Why they did this was one of the most powerful lessons of my life, and later allowed me to borrow over $15 billion dollars from 800+ banks.)
With this $13,000 loan I was able to purchase a small box of loans. My wife Kathy and I were completely stunned when we managed to turn that $13,000 into $63,000 in collections. It was a windfall that gave us some breathing room.
Then we did it over... and over... and over again.
The Unimaginable
Not only did I escape from bankruptcy, but I became a multi-billionaire and have been credited with revolutionizing the collections industry.
Today my business methods are still taught at Harvard Business School.
I could never have imagined being in the business of buying bad loans. Yet alone become a multi-billionaire by buying delinquent loans for pennies on the dollar, then doubling, tripling and quadrupling my money by collecting dimes and quarters on the dollar.
And even if I could have imagined that, I never could have conceived that I could catch "lightning in a bottle" TWICE!
I believe there are no accidents in life. It wasn't an accident that I stumbled across this opportunity... and it's no accident that you're here right now.
So Why Am I Sharing This?
Two main reasons:

To solve today’s banking crisis, new legislation has been passed to incent the private sector to help take the massive amounts of bad debt off financial institutions' books.
Amazingly the government is now providing both acquisition funding AND loan guarantees. For those who understand how these government programs work, it's a million dollar plus opportunity.
When Kathy and I become billionaires during the Savings & Loan Crisis, we had NONE of this governmental assistance. We had to do it the old fashioned way. The good news was that back then bad loans were flooding the market at such a pace that it allowed us to buy them so cheaply that even we, as inexperienced collectors, couldn’t help but make a healthy profit.
Well guess what? It’s deja vu all over again. Only today, banks are failing at a rate that would make the Savings & Loan Crisis blush AND now the government is providing funding and guarantees for us to be in the very same business Kathy and I made our fortune in before.
